Janet Doran, MD

Janet Doran, MD

Dr. Doran is a Partner at Cape Ann Medical Center. Dr. Doran completed her undergraduate education at Cambridge University, England and her Doctor of Medicine degree at Boston University. She completed her medical training at Salem Hospital.

Dr. Doran is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society. Her special area of interest is Women’s Health.

Dr. Doran is married with two children. She enjoys running, swimming and scuba diving.


James Michael Maguire, MD

James Michael Maguire, MD

Dr. Maguire is a Partner at Cape Ann Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate education at Marquette University, and his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Maguire completed his training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.

Dr. Maguire is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society. He is Medical Director of Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Denmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was awarded “Physician of the Year” in 2010 by the Visiting Nurse Association.

Dr. Maguire is married with three children. In addition to caring for his children, Dr. Maguire enjoys hiking, running skiing and golfing.


Shawn Pawson, MD

Shawn Pawson, MD

Dr. Pawson is a Partner at Cape Ann Medical Center Dr. Pawson completed his undergraduate education at Utica College of Syracuse University, and his Doctor of Medicine degree at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University. Dr. Pawson completed his training at Temple University School of Medicine Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Pawson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society. His areas of interest include Cardiovascular Medicine, Diabetes and Kidney Disease.

Dr. Pawson is married and living in Gloucester.


Judith Millar, RN, NP

Judith Millar, RN, NP

Judith completed her undergraduate education at Philadelphia Community College, her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University, and her Masters of Science in Primary Health Care Nursing at Simmons College.

Since 1987 Judith has worked with all of the CAMC physicians providing care and coordinating the medical, nursing, and rehabilitation services of patients admitted to Cape Ann’s Skilled Nursing facilities.  Her special areas of interest are frail elders and dementia. In 2010 she received the Red Cross Community Hero Award and the Seacoast Service to Seniors Award.  Judith lives in Gloucester and is married with one daughter.  She enjoys running, swimming, and volunteers in third world medical clinics.


Kelly A Sutherland, ANP-BC

Kelly A Sutherland, ANP-BC

Kelly A Sutherland, ANP-BC is a nationally board certified adult health nurse practitioner with over 23 years of nursing experience- 16 years as a visiting nurse in the city of Gloucester.. Kelly obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Salem State University and her Master’s degree from Boston College. She is an inducted member of Sigma Theta Tau-National Honor Society for Nursing. Kelly’s areas of interest-Preventative Care in the Adult and caring for the Geriatric population. Kelly has traveled to several countries doing medical missionary work. Kelly is a spinning and exercise instructor. Kelly works with Dr Maguire.


Natalie Meyer, NP-C

Natalie completed her Master’s in Nursing at Northeastern University with a focus on Adult/Geriatric Primary Care. She has previously worked at Boston Medical Center as a nurse on an inpatient medical floor focused on Family Medicine. Her areas of interest in practice are Community Health and Geriatrics. She enjoys the ocean and outdoor activities of the North Shore, including biking, running and surfing.  Natalie works with Dr Pawson.


Jocelyn Jenkins-Bautista, NP-C

Jocelyn Jenkins-Bautista, NP-C

Jocelyn completed her Masters in Nursing at California State University at Long Beach. She is a board certified in Gerontology. In her 25 years as a Nurse Practitioner, Jocelyn has worked as part of a nursing home team, in a senior clinic and in Internal Medicine. Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Jocelyn is glad to be back in the East Coast and to join the team at Cape Ann Medical Center. She enjoys antique shopping, baking and gardening. Jocelyn works with Dr. Pawson.


Kerie Johnson, AGPCNP-BC, FNP-BC

Kerie Johnson, AGPCNP-BC, FNP-BC

Kerie is an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her degree at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She is Board Certified as both an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. Her areas of interest include Chronic disease management, Bone health, Orthopedic injuries, Patient education and health coaching. She has previously worked at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington in the Orthopedic Surgery Division. She is a life-long resident of the North Shore and she enjoys running marathons, hiking in the North Conway N.H., the beach and spending time with her family. Kerie works for Dr. Maguire.


Susan Powers, NP-C

Susan Powers, NP-C

Susan obtained her masters of nursing graduate degree from the Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. Susan is board certified in Adult Internal Medicine and Women’s Health. She has worked in various positions throughout the North shore in Primary care, and Hospice services. Professional interest includes women’s health, and gynecological care throughout the lifespan. Susan has called the North Shore home for 15 years, and is excited to be raising her family in the area. In her free time Susan enjoys hiking, going to the beach, camping, and spending time with her family. Susan works for Dr. Pawson.
